Man, was I cranky today. I only spent ten minutes with my feet in the grass, but it might have been the best ten minutes of my day. Gotta try to make tomorrow better.
Yet another travel day, this time to Tampa. One more week after this and then we get a break before Worlds. So much traffic! I guess that’s what we get for traveling at 4pm on a Friday.
I’ve been worrying about our money situation for a few weeks now – everything is becoming astronomically more expensive by the minute. I had written off vacation plans and redecorating the kids’ rooms as impossible this year. But it turns out people at work are listening after all. Maybe we’ll make it yet.
Today was: A doctor’s appointment for the girls, a work presentation featuring a zombie, a panic attack right before cheer, and 32 years since Dad died. Pinot is peeing and pooping wherever he feels like it and I finished my jigsaw puzzle. An eventful Monday.
Robin got her first Shein delivery today, a sanctioned buy with her new debit card. The anticipation got her through her first cheer practice in weeks, and she wasn’t disappointed. The stuff she got is cute and she has 33 cents left to spend in her account. If there is a way to spend 33…
One of the last camellias on our bush for the season. It’s been kind of a ho-hum day. Played badminton with Robin for a while. Took the kids to movie night at school for a fundraiser. So far, no drama. I’ll take it.
Just home from church and day is still in front of me. It’s a nice day. I should do something outside, but I will probably end up taking the kids clothes shopping and playing Harry Potter. Maybe we can take Harry Potter outside at least.
These camellias bloom every year, but I never take the time to appreciate them. They come all the same, blooming for their own benefit. I bet it’s nice to be noticed.
