I taught Christina how to moon someone today. She thought it was absolutely HILARIOUS. What have I done?

The kids had the day off, thanks to the storms coming through. The storm wasn’t too bad by us, but it did rain pretty hard. The rest of the day was pretty low-key. I need some new projects to work on.

I rediscovered an old playlist – songs that defined my life, every one with a story. Someday I want to write a book holding all of those stories. As I was listening to it after the kids went to bed, I thought about the sermon I wrote for church that was so well received and how good it made me feel to write it. Why am I holding back on this? It’s time to write.

Christina woke up this morning with a fever, so I had a partner at work today. And literally everyone on my team was out of the office, so I really didn’t do much either. Our house cleaners didn’t come and we had no food to cook. And yet we still had homemade pasta carbonara and Christina still made her funny jokes and work got done. Funny how that works.

Made it at last to Maine. Today’s drive was much easier than yesterday’s. The weather leaves a little to be desired; cold and foggy. We had a nice lunch overlooking the water before getting on the ferry. The kids enjoyed biking, although Robin is not used to hills or requiring use of bike brakes and she rode directly into a bush and halfway into the ocean. Now she doesn’t want to bike ride anymore. We’ll break her in. It’s been great spending time with Aunt Cathrine and Uncle Bob. Looking forward to a quiet week ahead.

I started tracking food on Weight Watchers again today. My turkey sandwich was worth half my points for the whole day. At least it tasted good. I can see I’m going to have to work harder at this.

It’s been a long time since I took an actual photograph with an actual camera, let alone in low light. I think it shows.
