Hurricane Milton left us with temperatures under 80 degrees for the first time in months. We’ve been enjoying after dinner walks with the dogs almost every night and I’m loving it. Something about hurricane preparations really bugs me when we’re not even in the path of the storm and everyone hunkers down as though we are. Hoping people who ARE in the path of the storm are doing ok tonight.

The highlight of my day so far is cooking dinner, which honestly wasn’t that exciting. Ground beef and cumin mixed with brown rice and a Greek yogurt/cucumber mixture. It was good, but of course no one wanted the yogurt except me. I am so bored today.

I wish I could find the dial that controls emotions because mine are always turned up way too high. A walk around the block with the girls and the dogs helped, but I think what I really need is an overnight trek in the mountains. Too bad that is just not in the cards right…

I had to do a test at the hospital that took up most of my afternoon, so I stopped at Chili’s for a late lunch and watched part of the game that eliminated the Astros from the postseason (oh darn). Nice to have a little time for myself.

We finally completed the last game in the Harry Potter expansion set, after months of effort. We had done it once before, but definitely cheated that time. This time we did not cheat, and it definitely felt a lot more fulfilling to win. It’s pretty fun, and definitely challenging! Nice way to end a Tuesday.
