Finally made it home and now it’s back to the usual. For a day or two, anyway.

I went to my first escape room today and it was more fun than I expected it would be. The people in my group worked really well together, which I think helped a lot. Also we won. I am grateful for the time I got to spend with people from work, but I am ready to go back to my little private office in Jacksonville tomorrow.

When we tried to install a Ring doorbell by ourselves and shorted it out within an hour, I called an electrician to install it for us. He quoted us $915. So Billy bought a $25 part and goddamn it, we did it ourselves. So far it’s still working and the house hasn’t burned down, so I say we take the leftover $890 and have a party!

I had a rough day, often finding myself thinking very hard but still unable to formulate a clear thought. I spent a lot of time staring at blank screens, trying to figure out behaviors, wanting to go out somewhere but having no idea where to go or what to do. In the end we watched SpongeBob and played Brain Test on Robin’s iPhone. Considering all that went into making that happen… it could definitely have been worse.

Father’s Day was a little bit of everything. More tie dye because I am crazy, food shopping, which included a checkout lane scramble to get ground beef for lunch, Harry Potter game that put Robin into the depths of despair, amazing french toast for dinner, and Robin Hood Men in Tights to top it off. If only the Yankees could have won too.
